After spring break with the kids in Arkansas I came back to no internet and phone and it has taken a couple weeks to get everything straightened out. I am back up and running and will catch up in the next couple days. I missed a good weekend to put my Easter gourds online but you just have to roll with things sometimes. Here is a pic of the Easter peep I just listed. I will put up vacation pictures in the next day also.

I found these great little egg gourds on etsy and had to do something with them, so I mixed my own dye and added it to some nautical varnish so you could still see the wonderful spots on the gourds to add to the robin's egg look. I love how it came out. I was so excited and I put it on my etsy sight and then went to the front page to watch it scroll through and you wouldn't believe the theme on the front page; Items found using the search term robins egg. Perfect!! I didn't make the front page in time, but it should make people search those words and I'll be top of the list.

The alarm went off at 3:15 so I got up and made coffee and packed snacks for my favorite tree climber. John came home for the night but had to leave early this morning. He is still working at the Tyson Residence in Arkansas and then he gets to start on their corporate headquarters. I am so proud of him.
I posted more vintage pins yesterday and more to come today. I found some really cool ones! I am hoping to finish my neck cowl that I'm knitting because I have some beautiful wool coming from an etsy seller. I'm not sure if I will finish up the 2 gourd baskets I have started here because our dishwasher stopped working and you can't believe the dishes that 8 people accumulate in just a day. I was hoping it would start working again so I didn't stay on top of it and now I have to catch up. Good thing I'm up early because it should take up all the extra time! Here is one of the pins I just posted. It is so fun. Find it on http://www.jennifergoode.etsy.com/

I had a day of treasure hunting today and I will post fun vintage jewelry tomorrow. I found 3 gorgeous purses at the thrift store today. One is fossil and the others are designer too but the tags are gone. I really didn't care what brand they were because they were in beautiful shape and the leather was so thick and luxurious! I have a couple gourd baskets coming up tomorrow and fun pins. I also got lots of compliments on my scarf that I knitted when I wore it today. I will try to take a picture. Here is one of the bracelets I found today. Vintage plastic. Love it. it is on my etsy site http://www.jennifergoode.etsy.com/

The sun is full force today and glaring off the snow still on the ground. John is climbing trees in Arkansas where it is around 45 degrees, but here In Missouri it is a chilly 35ish. I got 6 kids up and around and off to school cheerfully and then went up and opened up the shop. I love that place! I opened up the drapes and let the gorgeous sunshine in and took some pictures of wood to offer to people via my etsy and artfire sites. I chatted in forums last week to see if artisians could use our wood and got a great response, so now I just need to make it happen. The first project is a fellow etsian making a wooden book so I sent him pictures of some red cedar and some walnut. I need to make another Easter basket gourd today because I sold my one. Here is a picture of the Watusi that is hanging on the wall in the shop. I am looking forward to spending more time up there.
